• Fingal Chamber appoints Siobhán O’Donnell as Head of Public Affairs

Fingal Chamber is delighted to announce the appointment of Siobhán O’Donnell as its Head of Public Affairs.

Siobhán is an accomplished professional who will lead the Chamber’s advocacy work and support the Chamber’s Officers and its Board in lobbying and representing members to deliver positive change for Fingal and its businesses.

Siobhán has a long history of success working in the region, having moved to Fingal Chamber from daa, the operator of Dublin Airport, where she worked for 37 years before finishing her role as its Head of External Communications.

Siobhán will now aim to influence public policy, build and maintain a strong reputation and find common ground with stakeholders on behalf of Fingal Chamber.

Siobhán’s duties will see her focusing on projects and consultations that impact business such as Metro, North Runway, and the Local Area Development Plan. She will also represent the Chamber regarding matters of strategic policy in conjunction Fingal County Council.

Welcoming the appointment, Fingal Chamber Chief Executive Anthony Cooney said:
“We are delighted to have Siobhán joining our team. The skills and expertise she has acquired over many years working in daa at Dublin Airport will no doubt add value to all aspects of our membership services.
“As the only Chamber in the area that represents business at county, national and European levels, Siobhán’s addition to the Chamber means we can work even closer with Government Ministers, MEPs, the Mayor, Fingal County Council and local representatives to develop pro-business and employment initiatives.”

Fingal Chamber’s new Head of Public Affairs, Siobhán O’Donnell said:
“As a former Chamber President together with many years on Chamber Council and the Board I have an acute understanding of Chambers work and the policy issues impacting members. I’m really excited by this role and hope to leverage my expertise, experience and network to win some gains for the Fingal business community.

“I look forward to working with Anthony, the Fingal Chamber board and team, to ensure that decision-makers realise the important contribution of businesses, large and small, to society and the need to sustain it, by promoting a positive environment for enterprise.”
